How SpongeBob SquarePants Became Essential to Meme Culture
Power and Strength in Heathers
A little bit about me.
I'm a poet, editor, and essayist born and raised in San Diego, California. I began performing spoken word poetry at age sixteen and carried my passion for the English language into adulthood, centering my work around the exploration of gender identity and the trials of growing up in the digital age.
My Substack, Dog-Fearing Man, features bi-weekly essays about the ways online subcultures impact our real-life relationships. My work has appeared in Advintage Press, The Ana, and Compass Rose Literary Journal. I currently work in the medical field writing marketing and educational copy. I also work as a slush reader for The Metaworker Literary Magazine.
